Sunny Leone out of Bigg Boss 5; looking forward to Bollywood

Sunny Leone says she has learnt a lot during her stint in Bigg Boss 5
Porn star Sunny Leone is out of Bigg Boss 5. All her hopes of winning the reality show were quashed when she was voted out by the viewers of the show during the weekend.

Sunny Leone had entered the show in November and had gelled well in the atmosphere of the Bigg Boss house, happily doing the tasks given to her. But what makes Sunny Leone happiest is that she got to learn to cook Indian food inside the house.

“This show was so much fun! Bigg Boss kept giving me dancing tasks. So my dance skills - especially my Bollywood moves - have improved. Also, my Hindi kept improving week by week, and it is a lot better now. But I was happiest about learning how to cook a variety of Indian food,” Sunny Leone said after her eviction.

Elaborating on what she learnt to cook, she said: “I made really good dal and learnt how to cook potatoes in 10 different ways! I think that's amazing, and I am definitely going to cook an Indian meal once I'm back home.”

The 30-year-old will stay in India and watch Bigg Boss 5 come to an end. She is also excited about working in her first Bollywood movie, Jism 2, to be made under the banner of Vishesh Films.

“I am very excited about working with Mahesh Bhatt. He has told me a bit about the first instalment of the film, and said how it was very bold, controversial, and edgy,” said Sunny. Mahesh Bhatt had made a special entry into the Bigg Boss house to offer the movie to Sunny Leone and she had accepted the offer.

Bollywood Actor Salman Khan not ready to give time for ‘No Entry Mein Entry’.

The script for Anees Bazmee ‘No Entry Mein Entry’ is ready. As reported earlier, the film which is a sequal to ‘No Entry’, will have all the three actors, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Salman Khan play double roles. However, Salman Khan, who is said to be upset with Anees, isn’t ready.

A source close to both Anees and Boney Kapoor (producer) revealed, “Salman is really excited about his first double role since Judwaa. And he will love the script that Anees has written. However, he first needs to hear it. He has to give Anees time.”

Even at Salman’s birthday bash, Anees Bamees was not invited to the party.

When Anees was asked the reason for him being absent for Sallu’s party and whether it was because of their differences, he said, “Aisa kuch nahin hai. I’m leaving for a holiday with my wife and children for New Year. I met Boney and he loved my script. I haven’t met Salman. But Boney and Anil have met Salmanbhai. Salman is very excited about the script. As soon as we can we will sit down for a narration,” said the director.

Salman was miffed with director Anees Bazmee during the making of Ready.

Bollywood News: Salman Khan Sobers Down Praises Katrina Kaif

The latest item number performed by Katrina Kaif in the film “ Agneepath “ called Chikni Chameli has won a lot of appreciation. It has become very famous and won the hearts of many viewers. The audience has yet again very gladly accepted her second item number “Chikni Chameli” after her first “Sheila Ki Jawani”.

However there is one special person who is very happy with her performances in all her films and both of these item numbers. He was very vocal about supporting Katrina Kaif and phrasing her in the public. And that person is none other than Katrina Kaif’s ex boy friend, Salman Khan. It is heard that this latest item number had made a special place in Salman’s heart.

A very reliable source reports that Salman Khan has praised Katrina Kaif’s moves in the song Chikni Chameli . He said that he loved her moves and was also very impressed by the kind of expressions that she gave for the song. In fact he also added that she should continue doing such hot, sensuous and sizzling numbers on screen.

The overall buzz in the film industry is that Salman Khan is indeed sobering down his ways and mannerisms. The actor who was once known for his dominating persona and over possessiveness has finally moved to giving space to others. Right from his x girlfriend Somi Ali’s time to that of Katrina and even till the last few years , he was known to be overtly possessive and protective about his ladies. Sources say that some of his former girlfriends moved out of some movies because he felt that the film would not project them in any good light. Some of his girls had also left films because he didn’t want them to be dressed in scantily clad dresses.

It is heard that Salman Khan didn’t even watch Katrina’s films when she had worked with other actors. So, when the same Salman Khan comes out and publicly appreciates Katrina’s sizzling dance moves, it does create a stir. It proves that he has indeed changed a lot either unconsciously or consciously.

According to insiders, this change in him might be a result of the fact that the actor might be finally planning to settle down. There is no doubt regarding the fact that he has had issues previously, where he had expected his girls to be like his mother. But of late, he has probably has had a realization that his over possessiveness only adds negativity to the relationships, and finally breaks it. This change in his working style and personal attitude has had marked influence on his personal life. In spite of maintain the “just friends” tag, Katrina Kaif is now seen in almost all of his family events. Right from spending time on the sets of the film “Ek Tha Tiger” to Farah Kahn’s house bash, they are always seen together. This has made the entire picture much more rosier and there is a probability that the romanticism between them might grow up once again.

Bollywood banks on south indian showbiz

It's only fitting that 2011 should see a song from the Tamil film factory ending up as the pop anthem of the year. If Dhanush's Kolaveri Di has broken all records on the Internet, the trend only defines showbiz fads of our times. Popular culture in India, particularly Bollywood, is increasingly banking on south Indian showbiz for inspiration when it comes to raking in big moolah.

Take a stock of Bollywood's 2011 box-office roster, and you know what we mean. The year's three biggest hits so far - Bodyguard , Ready and Singham - are all remakes of south Indian blockbusters.

Interestingly, the only film that looks like a close contender for top honours this year is The Dirty Picture. Though the Vidya Balan-starrer is an original film, its script is based on the story of Tamil sex bomb Silk Smitha and set amid the backdrop of the south Indian film industry.

Look closely, and you realise the fad of remaking south Indian hits has also directly affected the Bollywood rat race. If Salman Khan is at the forefront of buying the rights of southern hits and then Bollywoodising them to north Indian taste, he is also Hindi cinema's most popular hero right now, having recorded the top two hits of the year.

Salman's Bodyguard, which opened on Eid and went onto create a new opening day and first-week record in Bollywood, is the remake of a Malayalam hit by the same name.

The Rs 60-crore film netted Rs 102.86 crore in its first week - an all-time record - and went on to gross Rs 229 crore worldwide. The film has turned out to be Bollywood's second-highest grosser of all time after 3 Idiots.

Salman's other release this year is Ready, incidentally, the second highest Bollywood grosser of 2011. The film, which cost Rs 40 crore, is a remake of Telugu blockbuster of the same name. Ready is 2011' s second highest opening-day grosser and has grossed Rs 179 crore worldwide.

Salman's super success is almost matched by Ajay Devgn's 2011 biggie Singham, a remake of the 2010 Tamil blockbuster, Singam , dubbed in Telugu as Yamudu. The Rs 20-crore Singham has grossed over Rs 150 crore worldwide and re- affirmed Ajay's status among Bollywood's most saleable stars.

That apart, John Abraham managed to garner an elusive hit with Force this year. The action thriller was a remake of a Tamil hit, Kaakha Kaakha, released in 2003.

"These films have good subjects and great potential. Only a few people down south have seen these films so we can take them to a larger audience by making them in Hindi," Salman summarised the trend recently.

Bollywood Movie: Don2 is boring

Film: Don2; Director: Farhan Akhtar; Rating: **

You have a sequel of an adaptation of a mediocre thriller from the 1970s that gained pop-classic status only because of Amitabh Bachchan, and you would think, finally, some free reign of the imagination? The second instalment of Farhan Akhtar’s Don is unfortunately, again, a classic case of borrowed imagination.

Akhtar, the actor-director-producer synonymous in Bollywood with films which best project the affluent urban youth, is on shaky ground here. He is evidently better with another milieu. His 2001 debut, Dil Chahta Hai, has been his directorial pinnacle so far. Both the Don instalments are weak imitations of Hollywood staples of this genre, such as, most recently, the Ocean’s Eleven and Mission: ImpossibleLearn more films. Despite the budget on display, Don 2 doesn’t excel in story, performance or plot ingenuity, three bedrocks of a great work of crime fiction.Going by its production value, which is an amalgamation of art direction, cinematography, costumes and all the other visual aspects of the film, Don 2 is notches above the first, and indeed many other Hindi films of today. The world-roving drug lord, Don (Shah Rukh Khan), careens through the backwaters of Thailand, the streets of Zurich and Kuala Lumpur and navigates the hi-tech corridors of a financial centre in Berlin, against gorgeously captured visual backdrops. Don jumps off a skyscraper and glides down its refracted glass surface. Well, familiarity with Mission: Impossible could kill this scene for a viewer.

Don wears the best, his wardrobe designed by New York-based designer Jaimal Odedra. The nightclub song, totemic in most Hindi films, has dazzling flourishes of the camera, dance choregraphy and lighting. Don 2’s star is indeed its cinematographer, Jason West.

Beneath the sheen, however, there’s little in the film to sustain a discerning audience’s interest. It is meant to be a thriller, with a climactic bank heist. The master plan for the heist has some amount of the criminal cunning integral to an astutely executed heist. The execution has some edge-of-the-seat moments. But because the entire film suffers from severe literality, even the best sequences don’t have genuine surprises or thrills. Nothing is left unsaid. As they carry out the heist, every move of Don and his league of men is explained. That annoying tool used compulsively by our film-makers, the narrative voice-over, is on overdrive. The screenplay by Akhtar, Ameet Mehta and Ambrish Shah is ultimately secondary to the visual rigmarole.

We first meet Don in Bangkok, where he is fighting Europeans for control of a drug mafia. On his trail is an Interpol officer Roma (Priyanka Chopra), who takes over the reins of the case from CBI officer Vishal Malik (Om Puri). Don surrenders to Roma knowing he would meet his old foe Vardhaan (Boman Irani). They plan an escape, and then together, with the back-end support of his moll, Ayesha (Lara Dutta), plot a grand heist. He must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, so that his plan reaches the gratuitous end he wants.

While the Hollywood template is obvious—the background score by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy sounds strikingly similar to that of Ocean’s Eleven, and a few scenes are all too familiar—the trademark touches of 1970s’ Bollywood make the film an odd fusion. Even if it was intentional, the fusion is not seamless. For example, part of Don’s plan to escape from jail is to add a liquid to the food of the inmates in order to induce food poisoning! The dialogues, written by Akhtar, have a faux-retro ring: “Get me Don! Get me his head!” screams Vardhaan in one of the climactic interludes. The lead woman in Akhtar’s story is Don’s “wild cat”. She is incapable of even the smallest of jobs, although her boss seems to have entrusted her with the toughest case. Chopra gets some naive, laughable lines; Roma’s only defining qualities are her amazing artlessness and lack of resources. Watching her at work, it’s difficult not to recall the character Kangna Ranaut played in another film produced under Akhtar’s banner, Game, in which most of what Ranaut did was look at a monitor and say, “Let’s go!” or “Let’s do it!” but finally went nowhere and did little. In both these roles, the writers’ obvious attempt to create a dubious alpha female composite of a Bond girl and a tough cop falls flat. Chopra, though, gets a fight sequence, in which she excels. Dutta doesn’t have much to do; watching any Bond girl cursorily would teach her the ornamental nuances of the role she’s playing.

While visual wizardry and the action, by Matthias Barsch, accomplished but not pioneering, acquire more importance than the writing, the star playing eponymous lead tries to overwhelm everything else in Don 2. Khan has no improvisations and no new methods. He plays himself; after a few dramatic entries, the animated swagger and few wicked one-liners, the familiar charm wears off. Khan’s age-old tricks, the hamming and the twisted expressions, his trademarks, get tedious. Don, like all other characters he plays, has to adapt to the SRK mega-mode.

Barring some sequences, the 2 hours and 26 minutes of Don 2 are pretty, and remarkably boring.

Ranbir, Deepika come together again!

Dharma Productions, which already has 'Agneepath', 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' and 'Student Of The Year' up for release next year, has announced its new project 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani'. What's making news is the fact that the Karan Johar banner has signed up once-sweethearts Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone for the film.

This is the first time Deepika will be working with Dharma Productions. There was a lot of speculation as to who would be paired opposite Ranbir in the film. There were talks of Anushka Sharma or Katrina Kaif being approached for the role, but Deepika managed to bag the film, as Karan, Ayan and Ranbir were convinced that she is the best for the role.
Deepika and Ranbir, who were last seen together in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno', had registered success on the basis of their electrifying chemistry together. YJHD is sure to exploit this chemistry to the fullest.
YJHD will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, who earlier made Wake Up Sid for the same banner.
The line 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' is taken from the famous RD Burman song from the 70s hit 'Jawani Deewani'. While 'Wake Up Sid' was a coming of age film 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' will be a hardcore romantic film.
Karan Johar tweeted, "So hey...Ranbir and Deepika will be in Ayan mukerji's next titled...YEH JAWANI HAI DEEWANI!!! The wake up sid boys on the floors from jan!!"

Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar hit off musically

We all know that Katrina Kaif has a musical bent. In past, she has done a bit of vocals in nursery rhymes for a kid’s album by ace music master A. R. Rahman. She also learnt to play the guitar from Farhan Akhtar during Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and sure enough, she used this talent in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, where she has played the character of a rockstar.

Now that she is doing a romantic comedy with Ali Zafar, she is bonding quite well with her co-star on the musical notes. The two actors are even planning on a musical album of their own.

However, Katrina refuses to divulge much. She says, “Ali and I have definitely hit it off musically. We share a lot of common musical interests that we’re trying to take further. Let’s see where it goes.”

Katrina and Ali, we hear, enjoy each other’s company and spend a lot of time together, discussing music, of course!!

Ajay Devgn is one of the best actors in Bollywood who can perform various shades of characters without any issues. He can play the action hero role and then switch back to comedy in just few seconds and therefore he is one of the most demanding actors in the current scenario. At the moment, Ajay Devgn is riding on success with Golmaal 3 and Singham both doing great at the box office. Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for Bol Bachchan but he currently met producer Vashu Bhagnani with whom he signed a deal.

In the most happening deal, Vashu Bhagnani signed Ajay for the next movie that he would be producing. Vashu is definitely among the best producers in the country and has given many hits. Vashu has also signed up Sajid Khan who will handle the direction of the movie. The title of the movie has not been decided yet but they will come up with that soon. The formalities for the movie has been completed by Ajay Devgn and Sajid Khan and they are looking forward to what should they name the film.

He added that the movie will have a fresh script and will be a family entertainer for the audiences to enjoy. He also said that he has been working on the script with Shimit Amin for more than eight months now and therefore it will be a nice comedy that people will love. The shooting of the film will happen somewhere in 2012 and the movie will be released in 2013.

Bande annonce du film Love Breakups Zindagia

Voici la première bande annonce du film, Love Breakups Zindagi, avec Zayed Khan et Dia Mirza.
