Bollywood News: Deepika's South Indian home

Deepika padukone in hot and sexy bikini

Deepika Padukone’s happy to be home these days. She’s just moved into her new three-bedroom apartment in Mumbai, and can’t stop raving about it.

The 25-year-old actor’s new Prabhadevi house has interiors by Vinita Chaitanya from Bangalore, a family friend. “I could just tell Vinita what I

had in mind; she didn’t impose anything. I’ve travelled a lot, and wanted a bit of everything, but not a hotchpotch. And there are South Indian touches: lots of dark wood, and dull brass and gold,” says Padukone in an interview to fashion glossy, Harper’s Bazaar.

Deepika’s housewarming party created a lot of buzz, with many actors tweeting about it. But she’s wary about giving details: “It was very, very private and personal, and unfortunately news of it came out. It was a nice way of reciprocating a ‘thank you’ for everyone who’s worked with me,” she says in the magazine’s latest edition.

While the industry feels she’s never looked better, Padukone attributes friends like Manish Malhotra for grooming her: “Somewhere, they’ve seen me really raw, right at the beginning. After Om Shanti Om (her first movie), Shah Rukh said that it wouldn’t have been such a success if I had not been part of the film. It’s things like this that really mean a lot to me, and that’s what stays with you at the end of your career.” Today, if she’s confused about a project and needs advice, she’ll call Farah Khan. “I may be busy travelling, but I know a lot of these people will always be there for me,” she says.

Top Five Bollywood actress turned item girls

Item sequences with their piping popularity have become a catchy phenomenon in Bollywood. They are not only latest in trend, but also have become synonymous with a popular breed of actresses. But there was a time, a decade or so back when actresses would make it in an item number. Many actresses of the late 80ties early 90 ties made it to such scintillating numbers

1. Madhuri Dixit

With her charming and attractive number of ‘Ek Do Teen’, Madhuri can be given due credit for introducing the concept of item number. The film Tezaab for which she performed the catchy number also featured the actress in lead role opposite Anil Kapoor. Years after she featured in another scintillating number for the film ‘Bade miyan chhote miyan’. The “Makhna” song saw the gorgeous actress blending sensuousness with classical dance moves
2. Sushmita Sen

The actress with the coveted tag of ‘Miss Universe’ donned a gorgeous Arabian dress to sizzle and scintillate artistically to the beats of “Mehboob Mere” .Despite its sensuousness the whooping movement of the actress along with her intensely passionate looks made the number simply awesome and unforgettable. By the time she made it to ‘Fiza’ for the given sequence, she wasn’t new to acting. Sushmita Sen in the mentioned item number powerfully revealed how the fundamentals of acting can be attributed to give an additional edge to such a number.
3. Aishwarya Rai

Donning the tag of ‘Miss World’, Aishwarya Rai seduced and enthralled both the audience and her current hubby Abhishek by her enchantingly glamorous movements to the rhythm of ‘Kajra Re’. The famous item number contributed to the sweeping popularity of the film. Ash decked in a colorful lehanga was the most appropriate choice for the hot and titillating number. Aishwarya reveals how she puts together her sensuousness, expression and prowess in dancing to make the given number unforgettable.

4. Kareena Kapoor

Bebo too did an exciting number for S.R.K’s Don. Twirling and titillating to the beats of a remade number ‘Yeh mera dil…’ Bebo carried her performance to the heights of sensuality. The actress turned item performer with her spontaneity and vibrance stole the show.

5. Deepika Padukone

Adorning herself in a revealing set of bikini and skirt, the actress went on a dancing spree as well as that of changing spree as she gyrated to the beats of “Love mera hit hit” for the film “Billu Barber”. Accompanied by Shahrukh, the pair sizzled and scintillated their way to the audience. The above mentioned actresses did not exclusively make it to the item numbers, they were well into the business of acting .Moreover some of them like Aishwarya and Sushmita did the needful for those given films for the first time. Deepika may be used to performing in such numbers but she has the required command over acting.
Mere display of physique along with a few gyrating and whooping movements do not necessarily contribute to the success of an item number. One has to pitch in with ones appropriate expression.

Bollywood News: Deepika Padukone refuses big money to dance at private bash

Bollywood Gossip: Bollywood Girl Deepika Padukone turned down Rs 4 crore for a private dance in London. The offer was to perform for a wealthy Punjabi family at an upscale club.

The offer was specific. That she dance only to her upcoming Bollywood Movie Dum Maaro Dum item number. “It was supposed to be a private party with family members and friends only. Since Deepika‘s sporting an extremely sexy look in the song, they wanted her to wear the skimpy shorts and perform the same moves,” revealed a source.

A source from London reveals, “The DMD song has been playing in night clubs. The family who made the offer is extremely rich and wealthy and from Knightsbridge. They were ready to pay her a bomb just for one song. The actress initially thought it was a joke, but when the proposal came in form of a letter with the amount cited, she was shocked. She has had many such offers in the past, but has always refused them.”

The family was totally disappointed because they had already booked the club and tried to recreate the entire visual appeal of the song. Close sources to Deepika commented upon the incident as, “The offer was made to her. But she has made it very clear that private parties are not her scene. She wouldn’t do it for any amount.”

Deepika Padukone has been in London for three months now, shooting for Desi Boyz. Some of Bollywood Actresses who seemed to have performed at such private parties are Katrina Kaif, Ameesha Patel, Mallika Sherawat and Rani Mukerji.

Bollywood News: Kareena is extremely upset with Deepika

Kareena Kapoor upset about Deepika Padukone spreading rumours that she was original choice for a track in Ra.One

Having an actress pitted against another has become the rage nowadays. The latest lass to bite the bait is Deepika Padukone, who has Kareena Kapoor in the opposite end of the ring.

Says a source, "Recently, Dippy has been telling anyone willing to hear that she was the original choice for the Chamak Challo dance number in Ra.One and that producer Shah Rukh Khan had her in mind for the item number.

And that Bebo threw a fit when she heard of it. Kapoor is upset and feels Dippy is only doing this to gain mileage from the Dum Maaro Dum title track."

A source close to Bebo insists, "Chamak Challo is not even an item number. Kareena is the film's heroine and the song is part of the story so how can Deepika even be considered?

These rumours amuse Bebo. DP may be spreading this rumour as her DMD track isn't the hit it was touted to be."

Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha says, "We never approached Deepika for an item song. Chamak Challo is an integral part of the story.

The song will be catchy, glamorous and sexy but it's not an item song, which are usually random additions that don't need a story."

SOMETHING SIMILAR...

Not too long ago, Katrina Kaif was supposedly pitting herself against Bebo, who shrugged it off even then. The 'catfight' died a natural death.

And the race still continues for the lead role in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dhoom 3′. Aamir Khan has already been finalized for the role of villain.

According to a source, , “With Aamir Khan coming on board to play the villain in the film,

all the leading ladies are even more enticed to be a part of Dhoom 3. The ladies in contention are Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. Although, none of the three actresses have ever worked with Aamir, they are Aditya Chopra’s favorites.

While Priyanka Chopra did the Chopra clan a favor featuring opposite Uday in Pyaar Impossible (2010), Deepika Padukone worked with them on a couple of films. However, Katrina Kaif seems to be leading on Adi’s favorite list.

All the three actresses are leaving no stone unturned to impress Adi and are trying to subtly convey their eagerness to get the role.”

According to another source, “Katrina seems to be winning the race followed by Priyanka and then Deepika.

The leading lady of Dhoom 3 needs to don a bikini and be at her sexiest best. All three actresses have expressed their desire to be a part of the film. Adi is taking keen interest to cast the right girl, along with the writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya.”

YRF spokesperson tells, “This is mere conjecture. As mentioned in more than one clarification, we haven’t begun casting beyond those announced Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. You will need to wait for our announcement.”

The 5 Flaunting Babes: Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif

Bollywood and its bevy of beauties are always considered to be the epitome of fashion and style with a lot of sex appeal. Amongst the various sexy hot babes from tinsel town, the most popular ones are certainly babes like Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in no particular order.
All these babes are the ultimate sex symbols and the transition from a top actress to a hot diva is indeed quite a dramatic one. Gone are the days when leading heroines would never dare to wear the all revealing outfit and venture out to woo the lead male in films. Back then, all that was only for the side actors to do. But in today's times the rules have completely changed. All the hot scenes and moves along with sizzling hot numbers are done by the lead actress herself.

Every actress right from Deepika to Kareena to Bipasha to Priyanka to Katrina have appeared in the hot sexy item numbers to woo the male lead in their films and thus, they all have come to be tagged as the hot sexy babes of Bollywood.

The showbiz platform has turned into a complete war zone with each one trying to topple the other by adorning the sexiest of outfits and today's mantra for top leading stars is of course less is more.

The shorts, skirts, bikinis are getting skimpier and shorter by the day, making it a complete eye candy treat for the entire male species, whereas the females are left gaping with eyes opened wide to see the flamboyant stars flaunt it all so openly. Well, Bollywood has certainly matured well enough to accept all these hot shot actresses as the most happening and as the size zero has given way for a size 4 and 6, it still remains a fact that these sexy stars flaunt all the skin they want to in the most revealing outfits that one could ever imagine.

Well, with hot and sexy stars on the block, who's complaining? No one! Everybody is cashing in on the hot look, right from the star flaunting it to the film makers to everyone connected with the films they are cast in. Long live the hot sexy look!
